Who is Tony Kuyper?

Tony Kuyper is an American photographer and developer , known for having made the use of luminosity masks in Photoshop accessible and highly functional through the creation of the TK Actions plugin, now evolved into the current TK9v3 .

Although luminosity masks are a native feature of Photoshop, Tony was the first to intuit their creative potential and to structure their use into a practical and effective workflow , aimed at photographers passionate about precision and control.
His work has allowed thousands of users to exploit these advanced techniques with intuitive, flexible and constantly updated tools.

His business is the perfect balance between technical expertise, continuous experimentation and attention to user experience .

Today the TK9v3 panel is considered one of the most complete and versatile tools for photographic post-production in Photoshop.

My relationship with Tony Kuyper

I have been using the TK Action panel since 2016 (at the time it was the TK4 ), when it was already a revolutionary tool for those, like me, who were looking for precision and control in photographic post-production.

The use of luminosity masks has since become an integral part of my workflow , both for color photography and, later, for black and white fine art , an area in which I have developed a personal and structured approach .

In late 2022, this relationship turned into a direct collaboration with Tony: I started as a beta tester , offering in-depth feedback and suggestions based on real-world user experience.

From the very beginning I appreciated his availability and open vision in continuously improving the panel, actively listening to the needs of those who use it in the field .

From there, the next step was natural: I joined the development team , actively contributing to the evolution of the TK9 panel and subsequent tools.

I also took care of the Italian translation of the TK9 panel , to make the user experience even more accessible to Italian users.

Working alongside Tony is not only a great professional opportunity, but also a continuous stimulus to deepen, simplify and enhance the experience of users who want to take their post-production to the next level.
